Many thanks to Running Wild and everyone who has supported my journey! The book signing was a great event and it was so great seeing all my friends (old and new), my family and everyone else!
For anyone who missed it and wants to listen to my speech, I have included a video of it here.
I may not have finished Pinhoti 100, but marathon #58 was a success in my books. Overall, I felt good throughout the entire run. I just couldn’t climb up Pinnacle fast enough to make the cutoff time. That was the last high climb and I missed it by about 5 minutes. The cut off time […]
I find that a lot of people don’t use navigation features on their phone simply because they don’t know how to set it up, which is totally understanding as there are various ways of doing it. Many people don’t need the navigation based on their normal runs, so no need to dive into research on […]
Finished a nice 30 Mile training run today (marathon #54) running a majority of it with Katey and Zoey. I started about 3:50 am to get some of the cooler side of weather and glad I did as it started heating up in the morning. Now it’s time to taper down the next month for […]
Finished my 10th 50 miler at Rebecca Mountain (52nd marathon overall). Rebecca Mountain was a tough 50 miler! A few of us get to run it again in a few months, but as the 2nd half of a 100 miler and in the dark!
Due to the bouncy eye issue I had last year, I had an appointment to get a balance test during this trip (since I was here for my MRI and check-up with my neuro-oncologist). Before heading back home, I wanted to include a run out to Payne’s Prairie while in Gainesville in hopes to see […]
I’m out-of-town in Gainesville, FL for some doctor appointments to check up on things with my noggin. I had my MRI this morning and then met with my neuro-oncologist at Shands Hospital to get the results. Everything looked good so for my reward, I wanted to go run some trails. As soon as I was […]
Today I got to finish my 50th marathon while running with new and old friends. There were a lot of people out running today, which was great to see. My friend Jennifer was in town so she was able to come and run the last 7 miles with me. It was another great, beautiful Florida […]
Finished marathon #49 today (with 38 of them being 30 miles or longer).. I finished more around 31.5 miles as I forgot to start back after one of the stops. Today was super hot and challenging but we got it done. Thanks to Matthew, Gabriela and Philip for finishing the entire run with me. Much […]
Finished a nice 50 mile adventure yesterday from sunrise to sunset with a great group of adventurers (Mark, Matthew, Bernice). Started “south of…
The Antelope Canyon 50 miler was definitely my most challenging and awesome race by far. I walked about the last 13-15 miles and had an official finishing time of 12:23. I highly recommend visiting Page, Arizona sometime and going on the tours of the canyons! Videos of Running Through One Of The Slot Canyons Antelope Canyon
Finished over 31 miles with Mark R. on my last big long run before my final 2 ultras this season. It was great running with everyone (Bill and Tommy joined in for some miles) and I’ll see you all at Lake Martin next month!
Nice trail run to today on the Lake Martin trails. Big group of us training for the Lake Martin 100 or 50 miler next month. There were about 20-30 of us all together at the start and decreased until we did the last loop with these guys. Finished something around 24 miles of challenging trails […]
Ran the 6 mile loop before the 50k so finished with 38.7 miles and an average 9:25 Pace. I think I finished the 50k run around a 5:04 time. I have 6 more miles to pickup all the signs once the last runner starts their last loop. Finished my 7th loop sweeping the course (picking […]
I set a personal record at the Double Bridge Run 15k today with a 6:56 average pace and a finishing time of 1:04:37. It was good weather and great seeing everyone!
Finished my 44th marathon distance run at the UWF trails and finished 31.9 miles based on the trailhead map distances (I ran red trail, white trail, blue trail and yellow trail). My watch was set on auto pause and it kept dinging constantly the whole run. I was just going to do the red/white/blue trails […]
Paced the 4:15 group for the marathon in Biloxi today, which now brings my total to 43 marathons! Met some new (and old) awesome runners from around the country which I’m sure I’ll see again in the future!
Helped a friend from the training group finish his first marathon in Panama City Beach. Great weather for it and I now have 42 marathon distance runs completed! Great job to Jason Amiss for finishing even though he only showed up for a few runs during the training program!
