Gator Run to La Chua Trail

Due to the bouncy eye issue I had last year, I had an appointment to get a balance test during this trip (since I was here for my MRI and check-up with my neuro-oncologist). Before heading back home, I wanted to include a run out to Payne’s Prairie while in Gainesville in hopes to see an alligator on one of my runs. The last time I went out there on a walk to check things out, a lot of it was blocked off due to storms. Glad I went out there as the trail was opened up so you could go further out where the gators were. I stayed in the hotel in Downtown Gainesville and took the nearby biking trail down down to the La Chua Trail, which goes in Payne’s Prairie. I got some good photos on the way there and also had some good views of the area and some gators. One of them kept following me so it was a little sketchy so I kept checking behind me to make sure he didn’t get out of the water and get on the trail behind me. I suspect someone probably fed him before and was wanting a handout (or maybe wanted my hand out)1
