Finished marathon run #108 today while pacing the 4:45 group at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon. Official finish time was 4:44:43 so we finished right where we wanted to. It was great seeing friends and making new ones during the race.
I wanted to get 30 miles in today since Pinhoti 100 is just 2 weeks away! Split the 30 mile run into 3 sections since I’m pacing the training program. The first section was running to RW before the marathon training program started. Section 2 was the 15 mile training run. For the last 2 miles, I wanted get a few miles of speed walking in. This walking pace would get you to a sub 24 finish for a 100 miler. Two more weeks until Pinhoti 100.
It was nice. Mark Porter finished his 50 miler over all the big boy hills! Got hot in the day but I didn’t start pacing until after lunch. Marathon #101.
I finished my 100th marathon today within 10 years since my first. It was awesome and great joining the Running Wild party bus to pace the 4:30 marathon pace. So glad that everyone in the marathon training group finished. Surprised and so happy to see everyone from previous pacing that came and supported my 100th marathon today.
Finished marathon run #82 while pacing the marathon training group. It was cold and a lot of ice everywhere. Not very typical in Florida! We found a package on the sidewalk which looked like it fell off a delivery truck so I went and dropped it off at the DHL delivery building.
Finished marathon #80 while pacing the marathon training group. I started early and ran to the store from my house, then paced the training group for their distance, then ran back to my house and added extra distance to get my training in.
Finished with 30 miles of training. First I ran to the store, then I pace the training group. As we got downtown we realized the other training group was hanging out with Santa Clause downtown so we sped up and met with them and made sure to get a group picture with everyone.
Paced the 4:15 group for the marathon in Biloxi today, which now brings my total to 43 marathons! Met some new (and old) awesome runners from around the country which I’m sure I’ll see again in the future!
Helped a friend from the training group finish his first marathon in Panama City Beach. Great weather for it and I now have 42 marathon distance runs completed! Great job to Jason Amiss for finishing even though he only showed up for a few runs during the training program!
Finished 33 miles today, which now makes 41 marathon distance runs with 31 of them being 30+ miles! That makes 41 marathons in 7 years! Since I’m pacing a training group, my miles are split between different consecutive runs, which normally include (run from home to Running Wild, training program run then run back home).
Finished my 40th marathon distance run (and 30th ultramarathon distance run of 30+ miles) today! Feeling good and blessed to run with friends and help runners reach distances they’ve never accomplished before!
Finished a total of 30 miles this morning. Started early and got 15 miles in before heading to the store and pace 15 more miles. This brings it to 38 marathon runs (28 of them being 30 miles or much greater)!
Started before 3am and got 18 miles before I paced the 4:30 group. I then paced the 4:30 marathon group 13 miles so that makes a total of 31 miles for the morning. Another ultramarathon distance to the books!
Great weather and ready to keep training for the upcoming ultras! It was good to see friends, as well as make new ones. I paced the 4:00 marathon finishing group along with another pacer, Othman Doubiany, as well another running friend (Rebecca). It was a great morning for a run.
Just finished another 30 mile run (12 miles to Running Wild, 16 miles of marathon pacing and 2 recovery miles back home). That makes 3 Saturdays in a row of running 30 mile runs and now time to taper down and rest for the next few weeks. I was definitely feeling fatigued today, especially with […]
Finished a total of 30 miles with total time of 4:53:50 and average pace of 9:48. Ran 7 miles to Running Wild, paced the training group for 21 miles, then finished with 2 miles back home. Great weather and now I have over 32 marathons complete (24 of them being 30+ mile distance). I didn’t […]
Finished a total of 30 miles today with an average pace of 9:43. First run was 6 miles from home to Running Wild at a 9:20 pace, then I paced the marathon training group for 20 miles at a 10:01 pace. Finished up with a 4 mile run back home at an 8:44 pace. Slowly […]
Needing to add some distance to train for the upcoming ultras, I reached out to the people in charge of the Pensacola Marathon to see if they needed any pacers and ended up pacing the 5 hour group. This gives me free entry to run the marathon while letting me train for the longer distance […]
