Finished putting extra support to the piano hinge openings and the extra storage box between the main boxes where you would be stepping on. Insulated the wheel well and covered them up inside the main boxes so the electrical/plumbing can be isolated. Did a lot of sanding to fix up a few things.
My foam for my bed and the lagun table leg won’t be here until next week. I will then be able to cut up the foam and install the table so you can see the overall table mode.
I went ahead and put my foam mattress I had for my jeep when I would camp in it. You can see in the one picture that I have much more bed space in the van!
Taking my time to install the bench seats and shower as there are a lot of other things I can do until then. Will start working on the cabinets for the passenger side soon, as well as the solar panels. I have just under 2 months left to reach my goal to have it ready by the time the kids get out of school.
Took way longer than expected but I have almost all the insulation done now. I ran out and need to order a little more. Had to spray and stuff anywhere I could. I also picked up my bench seat a few days ago and am taking my time to make sure I mount it in the right spot as I don’t want to drill holes in the wrong spot. This insulation helps a lot with sound deadening too. Next on the list to do is setting up the bench seat, installing the swivel seats (should be here soon) and getting things ready for framing the walls.
It’s been 2 weeks since I bought the van and am trying to get it done before the kids get out of school so we can go on a summer adventure. I still have a lot to do (flooring, walls, ceiling, kitchen, storage, bed, tables, solar/electrical, plumbing (kitchen/shower, etc.) but I believe things will start going faster once the flooring and framing gets done.
