Finished up marathon #102 on the Conecuh trails in Alabama. It was a good run and saw a few snakes
Great trails that were well maintained. We saw two different groups of hogs and friendly deer. The hogs are really tearing up the trail. I want a bacon biscuit now.
I needed to get some distance in so I ran the Seafood 50k instead of just doing the Seafood 5k. Pensacola Runners Association always put on great post-race parties with food and drinks.
Finished marathon #90 today in 30a at the In the Woods 50k. It got hot but I placed 3rd in my age group. It was great seeing everyone and also making new friends. It was great talking to ultra legend Harvey Lewis – Ultra Runner and his wife about some of their favorite races and […]
Finished marathon #49 today (with 38 of them being 30 miles or longer).. I finished more around 31.5 miles as I forgot to start back after one of the stops. Today was super hot and challenging but we got it done. Thanks to Matthew, Gabriela and Philip for finishing the entire run with me. Much […]
Finished over 31 miles with Mark R. on my last big long run before my final 2 ultras this season. It was great running with everyone (Bill and Tommy joined in for some miles) and I’ll see you all at Lake Martin next month!
Felt good running the US Whitewater Center 50k with all the trails and elevation in North Carolina! It was especially great as I got to stay with my sister Lisa (who lives there) and see a lot of family who lives in the area. It’s more about the memories and visiting families than the actual […]
Today I finished marathon #35 (#25 of 30+ miles) at the Blackwater 50k. Ended up running 35 miles and I can already tell I’m going to sleep good tonight!
Feeling good about things after finishing the Conquer The Rock 50k! Due to other non-running related responsibilities, I was only able to squeeze in about 5-6 runs within the last 2 months leading up to the challenging run. Knowing it was a challenging course to tackle even with steady training, I was a little concerned […]
