2017 Oct 21 – 30 Miles Training

Just finished 30 miles this morning with my EKG on which included a 5 mile run to Running Wild, then paced the 4:45 full marathon group for 21 miles, then ran 4 miles back home. Still no call from the heart monitoring company so it seems like things are good with my heart!

A year after my brain surgery, I started noticing some weird heartbeats going on and after seeing the heart doctor, I ended up needing to have a heart ablation since I had way too many heart beats going on. Everything has been good after my heart procedure, I just need to get it checked out every now and then if things seem odd. Today was the first time I’ve had to wear an EKG during an ultramarathon distance! So now I’ve ran super long runs while on chemo (Temodar) and while wearing an EKG! I feel like I could get sponsored by a pharmaceutical company!
