Some views from my run today with the crazy fog blocking the bridge and cities. The picture of the 3 mile bridge leading into the bay is facing towards Gulf Breeze. The brighter blue picture should be showing downtown Pensacola from the bridge. Looks like Pensacola
Every now and then, a morning run feels less like a workout and more like a trip to another world.
Today was one of those days. A heavy, “crazy” fog rolled in, completely swallowing the landscape and blocking out the familiar sights of the bridge and the city skyline. It was eerie, quiet, and honestly, pretty cool to witness while getting the miles in.
I managed to snap a few shots that look like they belong in a movie:
- The Bridge to Nowhere: One shot shows the 3-Mile Bridge leading into the bay, facing toward Gulf Breeze. Usually, it’s a clear shot across the water, but today, the bridge just seemed to vanish into a wall of white.
- The Lost City of Pensacola: There’s a brighter blue photo where Downtown Pensacola should be visible from the bridge. Instead of the usual buildings and lights, there was nothing but a thick blue haze. It looked like Pensacola had pulled a disappearing act and sunken like Atlantis.
Running in conditions like this really changes your perspective. You lose your usual landmarks, and it’s just you and the pavement. It was a beautiful, ghostly morning to be out on the Gulf Coast!
