Here are a few quick reasons why I had specific requirements for the van and I wanted the Ram ProMaster 159wb. These are also why the ProMasters vans are real popular for custom van conversions. There are also companies that buy used ones, convert them into RVs and mobile homes, and then sell them for high money.
Removed the floor mat from the cargo area and cleaned things up. Going to remove some tie down hooks and clean things one last time before adding the sound deadening throughout it.
My car started getting some wear and tear from all the mileage so it was time to sell it and get something that would provide a lot more benefits long term. I bought a 2022 Ram Promaster van and am looking forward to start customizing it into a camping/travel/work van and get things set up how I want (beds, kitchen, shower/bathroom, work desk, table, seating for 4).
Finished marathon run #108 today while pacing the 4:45 group at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon. Official finish time was 4:44:43 so we finished right where we wanted to. It was great seeing friends and making new ones during the race.
I DNF'd Pinhoti 100 yet again (about mile 34). Around mile 25, I started having some pain start back up that I had experienced a few days after running Rebecca Mountain last month, which brought me down to just walking. I knew I could have kept going as I still had an hour before the cut off time, but knew I wouldn't make it the entire way with just walking so I dropped out early before it got worse.
I wanted to get 30 miles in today since Pinhoti 100 is just 2 weeks away! Split the 30 mile run into 3 sections since I'm pacing the training program. The first section was running to RW before the marathon training program started. Section 2 was the 15 mile training run. For the last 2 miles, I wanted get a few miles of speed walking in. This walking pace would get you to a sub 24 finish for a 100 miler. Two more weeks until Pinhoti 100.
