Finished My 69th Marathon Run Today at the Equestrian Center

Since I signed up for the Wildcat 100 miler in September (which is held here in Pensacola), I wanted to get a feel of the course. The main thing I’ve heard from pretty much everyone I know who have ran it is that it’s hot, so I decided to start a little after 1pm today when the heat and sun was beating down. I plan on doing this a few more times in the future as I feel this is great training for the actual race. Today was a little brutal though trying to get acclimated to the afternoon heat of Florida. I run here all the time, but it’s been a while since I’ve ran this far on a hot sunny day with the temperature in the 80’s. Definitely need to do some more and get things planned for running in the heat all day and night for the 100 miler!
