Brain Tumor Run for Research 5k
In 2013, I started the Brain Tumor Run for Research 5k in Downtown Pensacola after not being able to find any running events in the area that supported brain cancer research. The fundraiser is held in beautiful Downtown Pensacola to raise funding for brain cancer research. After attending a large 5k fundraiser in South Florida for brain cancer research, I was introduced to the Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure organization and have been providing all the funds raised to them. They are an amazing organization and are one of the top organizations for funding brain cancer research. Another company that has been extremely helpful with the Brain Tumor Run is the local running store, Running Wild. The owner, Paul Epstein, and all their staff has been great in helping make the event happen. After four successful events, we have raised over $60,000 for the cause.
